Kusala Ranathunga

Mrs. Kusala Ranathunga is an experienced nursing officer who has held leadership roles at several prestigious healthcare institutions in Sri Lanka, including the National Cancer Institute Sri Lanka (NCISL), Colombo South Teaching Hospital (CSTH), and the Institute of Oral Health Maharagama. Throughout her career, she has excelled as a clinical nurse and a Health Education & Promotion nurse, significantly contributing to patient education and support.

At NCISL, Mrs. Ranathunga authored various health educational materials, such as booklets on chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which were distributed to patients free of charge through donor support. In addition to her nursing roles, she has served as a hospital in-service program coordinator and held positions in various organizations, including the Buddhist Society of NCISL and the “Kala Sangamaya” of CSTH.

Following her early retirement, Mrs. Ranathunga continues to contribute to the healthcare sector by sharing her expertise as a member of the Hospital Development Committee.
