A Gift pack for every patient …

Imagine a world where every patient battling cancer feels the warmth and support of a caring community. Our project at the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka (Apeksha Hospital) is dedicated to making this vision a reality. With the unwavering commitment of our development committee and the generous contributions from our supporters, we have embarked on a mission to provide gift packs to 1,000 patients undergoing in-ward treatments.

Each pack, valued at around Rs 5,000.00, is thoughtfully curated to bring comfort and hope to those in need. Under the leadership of Mrs. Thamara Dematapitiya, our team has already made significant strides. Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors like Lion lady Mrs. Ramani Samarawickrama and Lion lady Mrs. Kumari Wanniarachchi, who is also the vice chairperson of the Development committee, we have successfully distributed 150 packs to date.

• Mrs. Ramani Samarawickrama donated the first 50 packs and contributed another Rs. 100,000.00 to continue this project. These were gifted to patients on 18th June 2025.
• Mrs. Wanniarachchi contributed Rs 219,500.00 for the second batch of gift packs which were distributed on 6th August 2025.

But our journey is far from over. With your support, we can continue to bring smiles to the faces of patients and their families. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
