Hospital Development Committee Supports Non-Clinical Volunteer Initiative at Apeksha Hospital
The Hospital Development Committee of Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, has extended its support to the Frontline Services in Hospital Quality Improvement Project by providing financial assistance for the printing of identification cards for Non-Clinical Volunteers (NCV – Apeksha).
The initiative aims to improve the patient experience by offering a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals arriving at the hospital. Through this programme, trained non-clinical volunteers assist patients and visitors by providing directions to relevant departments, answering general inquiries, and offering guidance to help them navigate hospital services more easily.
The identification cards, supported by a colour-coded floor and location identification system, help ensure that volunteers are easily recognisable and can carry out their responsibilities effectively.
This contribution reflects the Hospital Development Committee’s continued commitment to enhancing patient care, improving hospital services, and supporting initiatives that make Apeksha Hospital a more accessible and patient-friendly environment.
