Rs. 9 Million Worth of Urgently Needed Essential Drugs Donated to Apeksha Hospital January – March
In a crucial effort to support uninterrupted cancer treatment and care, the Development Committee of the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka (Apeksha Hospital) facilitated the donation of approximately Rs. 9 million worth of essential and urgently needed medications during the first quarter of 2025.
These donations, made between January and March 2025, were a direct response to the ongoing demand for critical oncology drugs at the hospital. The initiative was made possible through the collective generosity of individual donors and partners who rallied around the Committee’s appeal to bridge vital medical supply gaps.
The essential drug donations have enabled the hospital to maintain continuity of care for thousands of patients, particularly those undergoing chemotherapy and other intensive treatments.
This act of generosity highlights the impact of community-driven healthcare support and the continued dedication of the Development Committee to ensuring every patient receives timely and effective treatment.
The Committee extends its deepest gratitude to all contributors who stepped forward during this critical time to support Apeksha Hospital.
