Wesak Decorations at National Cancer Institute,Sri Lanka (Apeksha Hospital)
During the government-declared Wesak week, including Wesak ‘Poya’ day on 12-05-2025, healthcare staff and patients collaborated to decorate the hospital with vibrant lanterns in shades of gold, crimson, and emerald, strings of twinkling multi coloured lights, and fluttering Buddhist flags in brilliant saffron, indigo, and white. The project created a serene atmosphere, brought happiness to everyone involved, and complemented the religious events. The buddhist society of the hospital cordinated the activities of the Wesak poya day. Mr. Weerakoon, a member of the Development Committee, contributed materials for the project.
