Are We

The Development Committee of the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka (NCISL) is a dedicated group of volunteer individuals appointed by the Minister of Health. This committee comprises professionals and business experts from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common goal: to support the NCISL, also known as Apeksha Hospital, and address its various needs.

By leveraging their unique skills and experiences, these volunteers work collaboratively to enhance the institute's capabilities and ensure it can provide the best possible care and services to patients. Their collective efforts are instrumental in driving the growth and development of NCISL, making a significant impact on the healthcare landscape in Sri Lanka.

Wesak Lantern Competition and Children’s Art Exhibition – July 2024

In collaboration with the Buddhist Society of the hospital, a competition was organized among various units to create the best Wesak Lantern.

Handing Back Repaired Hospital Items – June 2024

The handing back of repaired hospital items was conducted by Mr. Sugath Weerakoon, General Manager of Lanka Ashok Leyland Company and Hospital Committee member. All repair expenses were borne by Lanka Ashok Leyland Company. Additionally, Mr. Sugath Weerakoon personally donated fluorescent light bulbs, which were handed over to the Hospital Director.
